my edit software cant find the files.

hi there guys.
i have a little problem with my edit software. i recrod gameplay on one computer and directly save it on a external harddrive. i also edit from that same harddrive. but for some reason the edit software on my laptop cant find the video files from my harddrive while its the same software as the one i use to edit on my other computer. and that one works fine.
both are totally legit and all.
the only real diffrence between both computers is that one is 64 bit and the other 32 bit.

i hope anyone has a explanation for this issue.

What program and what video codec do you use?

i use the simple windows live moviemaker, i cant say a whole lot about the codec but playing the files outside of the editor works just fine. though its good that you mentioned the codec, ill see if i can download one that works with the video file and then test it in the editor.
