Ok - I totally agree my question is VERY open ended and I'm assuming (as with audio recording/editing software) that video editing software at a similar price point does *mostly the same stuff, just a bit differently.
I would like to start making professional looking music videos for my own music - I'm a fast learner and I've already made one 'basic' video with a free version of DaVinci Resolve.
While DaVinci Resolve seems good to me I have literally no idea what else is on the market and how it compares - I am also not yet so well versed with Davinci so starting with new software is not a problem.
My price point for software is between 400 & 500 dollars.
I make electronic music - in the vein of Tycho & M83 - my music is very visual - the theme of big open spaces, geometry, sci fi, etc are prevalent in my sound - just to give you an idea in case one software option is better suited for such visual fx?
Cool Visual FX is something I am looking for as well as a user friendly workflow.
I am happy to have found this forum and would be super grateful for all tips and advice! Thank you for your time!
