Moving YouTube background

Sup guys! I was just designing a new background for my channel earlier today then I thought of interactiveness, and how YouTubers often don't change there background, and nontheless I think it adds to the noglastia of the channel over time, but I thought that I'd like to add bits into my channel background as it grew, and then I noticed myself drawing past the edge of the background dimensions and thought, what if I just create one big background, and over time move the viewable area further across (to the right in my case) to reveal more of the picture and such, I've not quite finished the picture yet, but I think it will be fun, and wanted opinions on whether it would be a good idea or not? Thanks! :)

If anyone wants to you the idea then go ahead! :)
 
Sounds like a good idea, really inventive. One issue though is that the old layouts will be going soon and we will all most likely be forced to have the new version which doesn't have backgrounds :(

I'd still say go for it though until your forced to change, or add it into the new banner aswell if you changed layout.

Not a fan of the new ones myself, I'd like them a lot more if they had customisable backgrounds, banners aren't my favourite of things, but thanks man, I love getting the go ahead from others! :)
 
Like Shadow said, the only issue would be the new banners. I could still work, you would just have to crop out the actual section you would want to use.
 
Sounds like a great idea, and no matter about the new banner, you could probably use the experience on the new one too to hone your technique :)
 
Yeah I have been using, I used Flash so it's easy to do, I just move it across every few days and sorted :D
