Monthly Themes?

Howdy guys!

So, I know this kind of format is in no way a new idea but I was curious as to what you guys thought of having each month of the year dedicated to a different topic/genre/subject. For example, next month would possibly be the perfect month to do horror themed videos, thus you proclaim it horror month and for all of that month all you do is concentrate on scary vids, scary stories, creepypasta, horror game playthroughs, that kind of thing. I'm thinking of doing this every month, but with a different theme each month, like this month is gonna be casual month. Since I'm a gaming channel that means that each week I will make videos on a different casual game(Covering 4 games in the month, 2-3 videos for each game). then horror next month and so on.

You guys think this is a good idea? I think it's a good way to keep your channel diverse and stop you getting kinda locked into one genre, but then again some people prefer to focus on one genre rather than diversify. Naturally, I don't trust my own opinion so I want yours! let me know what ya's think

Exactly, it means that even though I'm predominantly a gaming channel, if I want I could throw some other video types in there as well and they would make sense as to why they were on that channel because they would be related to that months theme
