Monetizing famous attractions

I see so many people on YouTube monetize and put ads on their videos of New York, the London Eye, Big Ben etc..

Is this allowed or can the attraction stop you from doing it/claim the money from it?

It all depends on the attraction and what rules/ regulations they hold.

The Eiffel Tower for instance is famous for having strict restrictions of pictures/ videos of it at night.
