Monetizing criteria

I have an Youtube channel with ~900 videos. Mainly game walkthroughs and some video effect animations. Most of my videos are monetized, but sometimes, youtube choose not to allow monetization for some of my videos.

For example: I have monetized videos for Cut The Rope walkthroughs. When I create a cumulative video of 5 levels, using Youtube video editor, and I try to monetize, they are not allowed for monetization. Does anybody know why?

Another example: I have created some fxguru video effect videos. Most of them are monetized. When creating a compilation with some of them, are not allowed for monetization. Why?

Thanks.

well some content is not allowed to, simply because its not or it has some content that is copyrighted or trademarked and the owner doesnt allow random people to make money off their product!

yep, this is the case with any game.. any game maker can be a d**k and say,,, NOPE not today and stop you from profiting of their production :)

which is fair enough :)

just contact producers. also the soundtracks in video games is a problem, as its all copyrighted material at the end there

I think it's not that. Because the source videos of the compilations are always monetized. I don't record the sound games, so my videos are always mute.

On the other hand when I upload copyrighted material, I have to acknowledge the copyrighted content, rather than I get an unmonetized video.
