Monetization with images from web?

I have a video I am working on showing a DIY of a high-end item. The entire video is a step-by-step how-to. All original content. I have a picture of the high-end item on the screen (from the company's website) side-by-side with my image to show how my dupe compares.

In the past, when I use web images, I just link the source of the image in the description (just as a blogger would), and I've never had a problem monetizing. BUT, is this technically okay? Does anyone know how this technically works with YTs rules of monetization or could point me in the right direction?

Thank you!

Images of a product, especially those made by the manufacturer for promotional purposes, generally fall under fair use. However since you are essentially showing a way to create a cheap knock off of their product AND making money off the video, I might guess they won't be too happy with that. Legally I think you're safe though. If that company comes after you it won't be for the image :p
