I am looking to assemble a group of 8 highly skilled Minecraft builders to participate in my second Minecraft Builders' Forum, which will take place on my Minecraft Realms server. Two spots have been filled, and a third is a "maybe". So I'm looking to fill five more spots. You need to have a decent mic and a Skype account to participate.
A little more about the Builders' Forum:
We ran this once before on Xbox 360 Minecraft, with six people involved besides me (the host). I pose a series of questions regarding building in Minecraft. Every single participant gets to voice their opinions on every question. Once the discussion is over, the builders have a chance to share some clever tips on how you can improve as a builder.
1) Here's the list of questions from the Xbox 360 Forum:
2) When starting a build, whether it's a house, a stadium, or anything in between; what's the first thing you do? Why?
3) Do you think there are any materials that builders should always avoid using, and why?
4) For lighting, which do you prefer to see in a build: torches, glowstone, or redstone lamps? How would you order them, and why?
5) Which do you prefer: Chairs positioned right up against a desk or table, or pushed back one block; and why?
6) On outer walls and on roofs, should windows have supports or not? Why?
7) If you have multiple rooms in a build that are all laid out the same, should I as a reviewer spend time showcasing them all, or just show one and move on to something else? Why?
8) When grading stadium size, should I be concerned with being able to see the far side stand, or strictly just the whole field? Why?
9) Should pressure plates and pistons be considered when grading creativity, when they are only being used to open doors (but not both simultaneously) or as tables respectively? Why?
10) Do you have any clever little building tips or tricks you can share with us that can help us all improve as builders?
What I'm looking for:
1) People who specialize in buildings of all shapes, sizes, and styles.
2) People who are on build teams, who are regulars on creative build servers, who have YouTube channels devoted to building in Minecraft.
3) People who are exceptional at making redstone contraptions.
What I'm not looking for:
1) Adventure map builders
2) Minigame builders
3) Dirt house builders
If anyone is interested in participating in this unique one-time (for now) collaboration, please let me know. Also tell me what you specialize in, as well as your credentials. Be forewarned that I may not pick exclusively from this forum to fill the remaining five spots, as I am reaching out to other builders who I'm familiar with as well. The forum will take place a few weeks from now on a Sunday, will be livestreamed on my Twitch account, and then later uploaded to my YouTube channel.
