Minecraft build challenge music montage

Hey, I was wondering what the general consensus of the style of music that would go best with a Minecraft build off challenge. My friend says that Dubstep is popular among the audience. However I prefer using pop-punk style music. should I go with what I like or what the audience would want?

Generally you want the music to match what is going on on screen. Dubstep is very, er, high energy, and Minecraft building isn't really..Generally something calm is what I tend to see in most Minecraft build montages.

Thanks for the quick reply. I know both styles are very high energy. what genre music do you typically hear in those types of videos? I personally would rather go with Pop-punk because I enjoy the genre a lot more than Dubstep.

Generally very slow ambient music, classical music and things like that. Music that does not distract too much from the building. Remember, you're not just making a video for yourself (if you are there's no problem with that) but for other people to enjoy.

Depends on the build that's happening in my opinion. If it's a big dramatic build use that kind of music, if its a quiet peaceful village use something soft and nice.
