Blue Yeti.

I would suggest a Blue SnowBall or Blue Yeti.. but if you can squeeze the extra money I would get a Rode Podcaster as you can add so many things to help the quality improve.

Problem is you'd need a stand and such for the rode, iirc the shockmount and stand bundle is like 300 quid.

Get a Blue Yeti, it's tons better than the Snowball.
Not a ton, there's a noticeable difference, but not a lot, the only reason the Yeti would beat the Snowball is because of it is the different patterns, Gain control and Headphone monitoring. But since he's a gaming channel, he'll only need Cardioid and Omni (< for dual coms), but the AT2020 will out beat the 2 in terms of Quality. Also on YouTube who's going to **** you for a little downgrade in Audio Quality? :p

I just got a Snowball, and it's good for the price, However you'd want a Pop Filter with Condenser mics like these, those can be got for less than $20.[DOUBLEPOST=1383213800,1383213631][/DOUBLEPOST]

That's a great mic from Quality tests I've heard, you could get a Stand for it and holder for cheap, or if you know how, make your own.

I have the Audio Technica 2500 USB Mic and I am really satisfied with the results.
I use it not only for gameplay commentary, but for voice overs and for comedy sketches.

Everyone recommending the Yeti is incorrect. It is not the best for the money in that range. In fact, for it to be the best for the money you need to find it on sale for 30-40% off. I find that most people who recommend Blue mics have never used anything else which makes their recommendation a bit on the thin side.

AudioTechnica AT2020
Samson C01U
MXL 990

And my personal recommendation, get a basic XLR interface, XLR cable and a Shure SM58. It will be $20-$40 more than your budget, but it's worth it.
