Microphone Trouble- All Help Appreciated!

Input volume is too high. Right click on the little speaker down by the time on your windows task bar. Choose Recording and find the headset mic. Turn it down to about 50% and try recording again.

I'm also not sure if the Razer drivers have a volume option, so check those too. It just sounds like your audio is clipping, nothing more.

I agree as well. I use Orban Loudness Meter (it free software) and the sample recording had an LKFS level of about -9. That's way too loud. I personally aim for about -20. To give you some perspective, U.S. TV broadcast, by law, is required to maintain -24 while in the UK it's -23.

This may sounds like something stupid but make sure you are actually using that mic! Also reinstall drivers... this may fix the problem. Or reinstall the program that you use to record.
