I was wondering, I'm about to buy a new headset with these specs:

Sensitivity (at 1KHz) : 105 +/-3 dB
Impedance : 32 Ohm +/-15%
Speakers: 40 mm diameter, 16u mylar
Frequency response: 20 - 20000 Hz
Input power: up to 100 mW max
Distortions: < 3 % at 1KHz 40mW
Microphone: condenser omni-directional; sensitivity:-58 ± 3 dB(0 dB=1V/uBar at 1KHz), -38dB (0 dB=1V/Pa at 1KHz), 30 - 16000 Hz
Net weight: 0.2 kg
Cord length: 1.8 m

is it good enough to sound good & clear or should I search for something better & more expensive?
 
hmm...I'm not really sure about that headset. Never heard of the brand.What is the price of the headset? There might be better options
 
I've always used Sennheiser for anything headphones related. I'm an audiophile and in the last 7 sets of headphones (whether closed back for recording, with a mic or without, portable for ipod, sport variety for working out) I have never once been disappointed.

There really isn't anything special that differentiates a gaming headset from any other kind of headset. Most often, the moment they attach "Gaming" to a product name, all you get is a more expensive product with a slightly slicker look. Beyond that they aren't usually the best choice for sound quality.

Sennheiser for the win. There is another good option for headsets. Instead a headset without a mic and get a product called ModMic by Antlion Sudios.-
