Mic Stand Suggestions/Help

What up everyone, so I have a unique situation that I need some opinions on. Currently I have a AT2020 XLR on a typical common mic stand. When I want to record something I get out of my chair and pull the stand over towards my pc to use, because the legs just take up too much room near me. Now the arm of the stand gets in my way when I am playing PC games, and the mic, with pop filter, gets in the way of the pc screen also.

I looked at having a scissor arm mic stand, but I have a triple monitor setup and don't have much more room on my desk.Any suggestions? I have seen a couple people put a clip on stand that the mic just sits above and behind their computer monitors, but wouldn't that decrease the quality of the audio since I would be like 3-4 feet away from the mic?

I made these for my podcast. They work very well and are cheap to build.

You can get an onstage boom stand, if you get a shock mount for you mic you can have the mic point down instead of sideways so that only the mic is "in your way" instead of the whole arm. Also a shockmount will prevent the mic from picking up vibrations when you move/bump your desk.

I currently have a shock mount , can you see my stand from my pic?

Oh I didn't notice the attachment xD. In your case I think a scissor arm might be best, do you think you can mount it behind your desk? Maybe pull your desk out from the wall a few inches and put a small diy wooden shelf on the wall to mount the arm on

I was thinking about that, but if I pulled the scissor stand over my monitors, it would block my view of the monitor .
