What up everyone, so I have a unique situation that I need some opinions on. Currently I have a AT2020 XLR on a typical common mic stand. When I want to record something I get out of my chair and pull the stand over towards my pc to use, because the legs just take up too much room near me. Now the arm of the stand gets in my way when I am playing PC games, and the mic, with pop filter, gets in the way of the pc screen also.
I looked at having a scissor arm mic stand, but I have a triple monitor setup and don't have much more room on my desk.Any suggestions? I have seen a couple people put a clip on stand that the mic just sits above and behind their computer monitors, but wouldn't that decrease the quality of the audio since I would be like 3-4 feet away from the mic?
