Hello, i'm planning on becoming a good horror game commentator on youtube and i've got everything i need except a good mic. I right now i'm debating between the AT 2500 and the Snowball microphone. I'm kinda leaning towards the AT but i thought i'd ask what some of you might think is best :)

thoughts?

These types of questions should go in the 'Video Editing, Recording, Software and Hardware' section of the forum, so I moved it over there for you :) I have heard good things about the Snowball. I heard the quality is really good. I am unsure about the AT 2500.

Snowball is excellent for gaming (it sounds no different to the yeti for commentary). If you want a headset, I always recommend Turtle Beach headphones!

Use a rockband mic! It works, and if you have that game already, it's free! xD

It's weird that you mention that, i actually do have it and the quality is so great. But unfortunately it's really old and it's barely being held together by tape and i doubt that would look good on a video haha.[DOUBLEPOST=1373557349,1373557117][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thanks. :p i'm new here, so, hard to know where to post what haha. and i like the quality on the snowball but for some reason when i look up reviews the volume of it sounds kind of low..it might just be me though. the Audio Technica 2500 is like 20$ cheaper and it sounds pretty good to me but the snowball has a better reputation. so i don't know :crying:

I use a Blue Yeti, and it's pretty good, so I'd go for the Snowball. I'm not to familiar with the AT 2500, but I know Blue makes good microphones.
