Marketing assistance

Hello, we are brand new to youtube and have next to no idea on how to market the channel. We have gotten some views but not many and a handful of subscribers (mostly friends) since the start. Any advice on how to get videos noticed and viewed? How to make people aware?

I'd recommend using Social Media - Twitter, Facebook, Google+ would be a good start. Good luck!

Optimize your channel and your videos, brand yourself across your social media, and then use those social media sites as they are intended for. Rather than just post "hey check out my video" all the time get involved in circles that your target audience would be involved in, add quality to those communities.
