Making videos without being on camera?

What are some ideas on how to make videos without being on camera? I also don't want to operate a camera right now. I just want to make videos using my computer. I don't feel like being on camera. But, I would like to think of some ways to make content for YouTube. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm open to the idea of talking on video... just the idea of being on camera freaks me out.

Moved this here for you :)

I would suggest things like software tutorials, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Premiere, Sony Vegas, MS Office and any other software you know about that you can help others learn to use. You could do animation using 3D animation programs too and do your own 3D cartoons although that would be a large learning curve for most people. Gaming videos would be another too but I was trying to think of others.

All very good suggestions above! When I make videos for my main channel, most of the video is just my hands showing the steps of making different foods. Then at the end I show myself in it, enjoying the product (which you could skip that part). Afterwards, I strip all of the audio, clip out what isn't needed, and do voice overs. So, that sort of thing could work, if you want to get into tutorials.

And if you want to get over being camera shy, you can slowly work yourself into the shots. :-)

You could also try crafting and DIY videos on whatever interests you. Also montages (nature, animals) and music videos from found footage.

I used to be really awkward and shy on camera. The way that I got past that was to vlog. I tried different things, was silly on camera and showed them to my good friends. Hardly anyone saw them on YT, and they're not set on private, but it helped me get over that initial awkward phase and let me move past it.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I've also enjoyed watching the videos of those who posted in this thread. Now I want to cook something haha

dont worry about it too much man...i dont use cam for my gaming vids -- feel like it would get in the way of what is going on --though i plan to use one for a horror game as i think the reactions are needed for it (i scare super easily) but yeah its not needed....i only use cam for my random vlogg stuff i do on the side (mostly updates and stuff)
