Making Screenshots from Sony Vegas/New Screenshot Software

I record a lot of footage and take a lot of screenshots of the games I play. I just got done beating Tomb Raider 2013 and in the last hour and half I thought I was taking screenshots. I use Dxtory and I don't have problems with it unless I'm playing Skyrim. I just checked my Folder where my Screenshots from Dxtory should be and they are not there. I guess Dxtory wasn't working. I've double checked everything and the only possible thing that could have stopped Dxtory from doing it's job was perhaps MSI Afterburner which was active but not on-screen.

Anyway, I managed to record most if not all of the footage where I took screenshots. I'm wondering if there is a way to use the recorded footage to make individual shots/frames and turn them into high quality PNG or JPEG images. Would that be possible?

Furthermore, I'm wondering if there is another screenshot tool or program out there that is lightning quick and won't interfere with my screen? High Quality is a must as well. I'd use Steam to take screenshots but It's disruptive in two big ways. MSI Afterburner is not a choice either.

In sony vegas there's a little button above your preview window that says "Save snapshot to file" and that takes a frame of the footage in the highest possible quality. I think it places it on the desktop by default? I could be entirely wrong. Though yeah, it does that.

I've never had an issue with Dxtory.

Assuming your Sony Vegas looks similar to my Sony Movie Studio, there should be an icon of what looks like a floppy disc. While editing your video, pause on the frame you wish to save the screenshot of and click the floppy disc icon. From there it will be very simple :pompus: Also assuming you play on Steam, F12 takes screenshots and it's also very reliable and easy to retrieve and access the screenshots.
