Making a Photoshop file size smaller

AlveyMusic

probably late for something
I need some serious help here! I redesigned our channel background (Shout out to anyone still rockin the old background with us! :) ) but when I went to save it for web (using PNG-24) it is too big of a file. The biggest YouTube will accept is 1MB and the file it like 1.5MB.

Please help me!

Use compression and interlace it when you save it if you haven't already. PNG has lossless compression, so you won't have any quality degradation when you tell photoshop to compress it.

What's the composition resolution? Is it too big. Try lowering the quality and upping the compression on the png or try jpeg too as png saves layers, so save as->file type jpeg-> moar compression!

Also as a side note your old background design will only work for a week or two more till 1 design becomes mandatory

There are no options for compression in the "save for web" thing, and when I checked interlace it made the file size .1MB bigger.[DOUBLEPOST=1368930738,1368930689][/DOUBLEPOST]

We'll hold on to the old background as long as we can! ;)

Here is a tutorial for the way that i'm using.
Play with the quality it shouldn't be under 70 , it's in the right corner.
