Making a lyrics video?

I sing and vlog stuff
A little bit like Hank's song about Quarks.
He said he done this in After Effects and Illustrator, but does anyone know some ALTERNATIVE software for making a "lyrics" video?

yeah if you are doing a text lyric video its called kinetic typography. You can find many tutorials online for it. I would recommend creating your image in Ai and then doing the zooming and panning in Ae afterwards

Hmm... It seems I would also need a better PC too. Or a Mac.
Should I go on and attempt to build a PC?

TBH After Effects doesn't need huge amounts of power.. it's just a lot faster if you have loads of power from the PC behind it ;D

Also if you have a Mac, Apple Motion is able to do these things and it costs around £35 on the Mac App Store :)

After Effects isn't that highly priced as I found out. I'll have a look into it. Thanks! :)
