I wrote this also on some other thread... What works for me is this:
LOOK FOR UNDERGROUND and NON FAMOUS BANDS, dj's or authors!
How it works?
- Young and non famous artists need also someone to hear their music. U can offer them promotion trough ur channel, also, on intro, u can write down who is author of the music.
- Try to get as many as possible for the option! Because, not everyone has the same style, but, if u find something u like, and u wanna do something in future, trust me, YOU WILL NEED MORE THAT STUFF! and, as long as you have some long distance partner for this, help up each other and promote as much as u can! So, to find right one, you should look for as many possible options as u can!
NOW, the greatest problem is WHERE TO LOOK FOR SOMEONE WHO IS GOOD AND WHO CAN SHARE HIS MUSIC?!
Well, how about U should look for some big music conest websites where all of them are posting their music. Like GBOB (Global Battle of the Bands). In the ends, MySpace is still working for looking for a band, so be free to check it out there as well!
EXAMPLE:
if u check my channel, Im using music of House of Ghosts band. well, that one isn't hard to get for me ^^ but beside them, I have very good cooperation with 101A from Japan and Rough Blue from Serbia. And, Not just that i can use they stuff, but we already get to the level that we can even make something new for some purpose!
DOn'T get DISCOURAGED ITS POSSIBLE!!! And it will defenetly make your channel more authentic!
