Hi, ive been doing some research and all that jazz looking into the copyright of covers and so forth and Im honestly confused.
Im planning on getting into making video game covers and I know that you need a sync and mechanical licesence to do it legally. At least I think thats what you need to do it legally. Ive also seen alot of remixes from people remixing songs from company's where its quite frankly near impossible to get those rights? (aka Nintendo) Have they actually got the right to do this, is their some sort of legal loophole I dont know about or have they just gone and uploaded it without caring?
Quite frankly this whole copyright issue has just given me a headache, and I was hoping there was someone here who could explain to me what I should do to stay legal while doing covers? Im in the uk.
