Magic Lantern Thoughts?

I have been into magic lantern for canon for a while and it seems very impressive! The recent RAW video update is amazing I must say! :D

I am thinking about downloading it on my Canon t2i. Mainly for the sound leveling and the focusing automatically from point to point. How long does it usually take to learn to take full control of? There are alot of things to it and I want to use it seamlessly, although I am a fast learner I like to know how to use things easily.

Additional Question: I hear that the 1080p raw on the canon t2i is not possible as it blows the buffer out, but I see very long continuous shots with the t2i raw at 1080p, so it does confuse me. I have also heard that audio can't be recorded in raw mode too, is this true? If so are they working on it to make it possible?

Thanks for putting up with my blathering :D

Theres one feature I want to use it for and thats the colour temperature in Kelvin control, I was going to try it on my 650D but I am unsure if video is properly supported yet.

I also use my canon for photography, my question is if i instal I heard rumours it becomes a video camera and doesn't do well with photos after.

I don't know if that's true, magic lantern is just another software that lets you go further, I don't know how it could make the photos not so well when it's only the OS that changed :p

No like I heard it turns it into just a video camera making you un able to take photos anymore just videos

I'm loving Magic Lantern. I guess it depends on how much you already know about the functions it can perform like controlling the colour temperature and rack focusing, if you already have some knowledge about the function then it really shouldn't take long to learn, plus there's always the helpful info button that lets you know what it does. Don't really use the rack focusing stuff myself, mostly colour temperature, zebras, magic zoom thingy and sometimes crop marks for me.

I think that RAW video is only available for the 5D Mark III with magic lantern right now.
