Mac or PC - sports video editing

Hey guys,
So I currently edit my videos on my custom built dektop, but it is quite annoying as it has now portability, especially when we go on holidays such as skiing, etc and I would like to do my GoPro edits in the afternoon so I can put it together while we are there.

Now I am going back to the age old question, should I get a windows laptop (any brand) or, which I was thinking would be better for what I do, A Macbook Pro? I know that GoPro uses mac's to do all their video editing and they are able to produce some amazing videos so the potential is there.

What is your thoughts?

We tend not to allow any Mac vs PC threads here, because we get them a lot and they always, always escalate into an argument.

Just pick whatever computer has the better spec and software! The type of computer you use has nothing to do with how well your editing will turn out, that comes from skill, not the computer.
