Lost verification check mark, anything I can do?

I'm new to YTTalk, but hopefully you guys could help me.

I work for a small company, and was recently tasked with updating their Youtube channel. The company has had a Youtube channel since early 2006, had a verified check mark, and has 2,200 subscribers and 3 million views. The company's name is three words, but the channel name had all three words squished together JustLikeThis. I figured it would be better to make the channel name three separate words (and my boss agreed). But upon doing that, we lost our verification check mark. Is there anything I can do about this/anyone at Youtube I can contact for help (the Help Center was no help and there seems to be no "support email.")

I'm guessing the company got the verification mark a few years ago when it was "easier" to get verified (based on subscribers and views), because now it's apparently based on your Google+ following? I figured maybe someone at Youtube/Google would understand since we're not just a channel asking to be verified- we were verified, and lost it by accident and not by losing any kind of good standing with Youtube. Hopefully someone can help.

From the Google help page...

Channels with Verified Names
Verification badges

help visually confirm the authenticity of a YouTube channel. When you find the badge on a channel for a popular celebrity or business, you can be sure that the channel actually belongs to them. The verification checkmark only appears to the right of the channel name, and "Verified" appears in a popup if you point your cursor at it.
How do I get a verified name for my channel?
We review a variety of factors in order to determine eligibility for name verification. If your channel qualifies, you will automatically receive a name verification badge on your Google+ page or profile over time. Name verification for Google+ is available to a wide range of businesses and organizations. To ensure your eligibility for verified checkmark, channels should:
  • Be connected with a Google+ page or profile
  • Your Google+ page or profile must be authorized by your commercial entity, organization, brand, or product.
  • If the channel is connected to a Google+ page, the page must contain a link to your organization’s website. This website must be verified (i.e. have a small checkmark next to the website URL), which the +page owner can do themselves by following these instructions.
  • Have a substantial number of subscribers.
Link your Google+ page to your website
Linking a Google+ page and your website is useful because:
  • It helps you connect with your friends, fans, and customers.
  • It provides Google with information that we can use to help determine the relevancy of your site to a user query on Google Search.
It’s best to work with your webmaster if you aren’t familiar with editing your website. You have two options for linking a page with your website:
  1. Webmaster linking: If your website is already verified in Webmaster Tools, then the verified webmaster can approve a request to connect your website to the Google+ page for your business.
  2. Direct linking: You can directly link your website by inserting a small snippet of code on your website and then listing that website as a Google+ page's primary link in the About section of the profile.

If you don't have a partner manager at YouTube then you'll just have to wait for Google+ to verify your +Page again

I can't really help you much, but I have some links that might help,

Watch this video, it might clear things up a bit: youtube.com/watch?v=PckhnCIaeOU

Verification is removed when the channel title is changed.
It may seem odd but it makes sense as they need to re-verify whether you are still the owner of new the brand/ channel.

With 2,000 subscribers you would have trouble getting it back even with YouTube, they look for 5,000 subscribers minimum.

change it back to the old name and you will get verified soon, once google verify the old name, only the old name will have the tick symbol, you changed it, and the symbol will gone. If you would like to get the new channel name verify, you have to contact google in this. The channel will have to run the verification process one more time.

Same thing happened to Freedom. You simply need to revert back to the old name.

I changed the name back back nearly two weeks ago, still nothing. I tried looking at the Contact forum listed above as well, but I couldn't any contact pages that relate to my issue. I think I might be out of luck
