Howdy guys! Aaron from the GamePlayBoys here. Recently we hit over 400+ subs on youtube and I was wondering How im currently doing with the channel. We have been having tons of fun however it seems not many of our subs ever comment. Im wondering if i should mention i would like to see comments in our videos. Also i was wondering how my channel strikes you guys in general. We want to go for more of a community channel where we play games with other channels and subs on fridays at some point however that is going to be down the road. Another Question i had was when i collab with other channels and they upload footage of our collab i am always stumped as to what i can contribute. Isit ok for me just to edit some of the same footage into my channel or Should I try to find my own clips within the Video? Looking forward to you guy's Response and advice. In this i will try to answer all your questions. Overall the channel icon is fantastic a great show of art though i don't know why but to me your channel art is a bit off putting you could work on a channel trailer, that would help you guys out immensely. From what i have seen the soul reason that you are not getting comments is a combination of two factors 1. there is not a lot to talk about in your comment section 2.your subscribers are not of the talking type, a way to increase comments (if they are so important to you or if you want) is to ask the audience a question as in What do you think? What was your guess? .Anyway comments are not that important(forgive me if you already do this as i have no idea i only flicked through your videos) asking for more comments is not the right way to go unless you can hint on it or do it indirectly as when people are forced or told to use or do something they end up hating it one great example is google+ there is a lot of hate on it because youtube makes youtube users use google+. In the matter of colab you should NOT use the same footage as the person you are colabing with as that would be copy write but if you are uploading your viewpoint that is fine or if the two are combined into one (this does not have to happen to use this method) you could have one episode on one channel and the next on the other and you could do this will all the people you are colabing with whether it is in a single recording or over multiple series and if there are more than two people involved(generally this works best if the person with a larger fanbase uploads the first episode).
