Hey Everyone, I recently started doing vlogs (i have 3 vlogs around 4 minutes each) and I was wondering if I can get some feedback on how they have been coming along (as far as time, editing, audio, etc.) any feedback on them would be greatly appreciated! thanks everyone

Not to bad man. I think your blogs have come out very nice. We all have done that were we forget to hit record. That part when you were at Red Robin was good but maybe a quick Text on screen Saying something about the scene and maybe some kind of transition effect. You could also add sound effect here and there. Like when you realized you forgot to record a sad trombone sound effect would start playing. For the most part you are doing a great Job all around man. Keep it up.

Thanks! Will definately keep that in mind for my next video

It is more interesting than most. But I would say to brand your vlogs by doing something interesting. There are far too many plain vlogs that absorb almost no audience because the videos are just boring. People don't want to see a video of a pointless ramble so I suggest you make your vlogs themed. 5ninthavenueproject is a perfect example of an early vlog from the 80s that was interesting because it documented the club kids subculture of New York in the 1980s. The report of the week is also interesting because his theme is junk food reviews with 90s suits. It's about story development. You want your audience to follow a certain theme to keep up with the videos with renewed interest.

Let me give a difference say you are a 13 year old who vlogs just about your normal life; eating your cereal; going to school <- boring.

But let's say you are a 13 year old that takes care of horses on a ranch and you decide to vlog about it. That is 10000x more interesting.

Thanks! I get what you're saying, my vlogs are kinda just about what I'm doing for that day. but ill definitely keep that in mind when I'm recording the next episode. Thanks for the feedback!

I am sure you have a hobby like most. Capitalize on that and make a lot of your vlogs revolve around that. The most competitive youtubers nowadays focus on specific themes when vlogging. Like traveling, ranching, cars, what not. It just helps because you actually target an audience.

It's a competitive space for sure. I like your pacing and style; the vlogs aren't too long (I find many others are) and the audio/video/music is on point. I agree that one or more recurring themes/subjects might help them stand out, and I think a little intro/outra (ie you alone talking to the camera, not a generic animation) would help to connect w/ viewers and add a nice degree of closure so it's not so abrupt. Overall, though, I think you're totally on the right track. The only other thing I could suggest is to try to find more inventive/intriguing titles and thumbnails.

Thanks! Yea I have a little trouble with figuring out a thumbnail for my videos, cause I don't know what kind of picture to use. Yea I'll definately work on something recurring theme for future vlogs.

Thank you everyone for your feedback!
