Looking for a very quiet keyboard.

I wanna ask anyone, specifically our let's player and commentators, what keyboard are you using? Can your mic pick up your keyboard noise? Can you tell what brand and model?

If anyone has a suggestion, I don't need a mech keyboard, I don't have a budget for that. I only need something cheap yet quiet.xD $30 tops. (Though I doubt I could see it here in our country.xD)

You can possibly use a default Microsoft one for now. Not the mech kinds. Those shiny flat-keyed kind.

What type of mic do you use? A great idea would be getting a nice mic stand, maybe even a large enough one to be off the desk. A friend of mine had that problem for a while, whatever keyboard he used, so he just got a nice stand and ever since there's no obnoxious typing in the background. Unfortunately, I don't have a suggestion for a keyboard, though, because I just have my laptop... heh.

I wouldn't recommend a mech keyboard anyways. They're expensive, and half the point is that satisfying click of the keys Anywho, my mic picks up my keyboard keys, and I actually like it. I'm using a standard Compaq. Generally the cheaper ones won't be too loud, but I'd just adjust your mic, it's easier than having to trawl through a ton of keyboards.

Yeah, unless you get a quiet mech keyboard I don't think the problem will go away. The best thing to do is put your mike as far away as possible but so that it can still pick up your voice, then raise the volume of the recording afterwards. That, or get a stand ^^
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like anyone makes near-silent regular keyboards :s

As far away from the keyboard as possible, but as close to you, least in my opinion. It became a pain for me myself after a while, so i got a head set so I didn't have to deal with it. xD

Hmmm...I'm having a dilemna now.) I'll stick with my mic. xD I just need a lil' bit better keyboard. xD
