Hey guys! I've noticed that I've had my best success by doing cross promotion for other channels.
I was thinking of starting a group of musicians who would cross promote each other. I was hoping for a group of 5 or so musicians who wanted to form a group that would work together in two ways:
1) Social media promos: We would, once a week or so, give eachother a shoutout on social media. Be it to our YouTubes, websites, or just profiles.
2) Videos: We could do a series of colabs with eachother that would help with the promotion.
This idea actually comes from a group of Lets Players I saw on YouTube called "Mindcrack". (Look up Guude if you don't know of them). They do videos together and promote one another, but aren't necessarily tied to one another. We could model ourselves after this group and help build all of our communities.
A little about me so you would know if you are interested in working with me:
I am a blues musician and focus my channel around my original music. I post an original song and music video every other week, a 'vlog' (its more like a talk show) about my songs, their inspiration, and composing techniques that I used in them. I also release a blog about my instruments and music in general once a week.
I have 40 subs on YouTube
555 Twitter followers as of today
35 Facebook page likes
And a whopping 6 Instagram followers.
Obviously I'm just starting out and Twitter is my biggest strength, but I'm looking forward to working with some more people!
