Looking for a new camera! PLEASE HELP!!

I'm looking to buy a new camera for filming my videos!! I wan't it to be HD but I also don't wan't to have to pay the earth for it.. Does anyone have any recommendations? :D Any help would be much appreciated!! :D

DSLRs are usually the way to go when you're starting out. If you don't have tons of money to spend, you could go with something like the Canon Rebel T3i and get a good enough lens with it for around $1000-1500. If you have a lot of money to spend, you could go with something like the Canon 5d mark III and get a good enough lens for around $3500-4000

I would go for something rather cheap myself say around £100 second hand if you can find one. We recently sold our camera for £100 this one here:

It is full HD so 1920 x 1080 but I cant say its anywhere near as good as the ones HotDang has recommend but if you want something fairly cheap and is HD then I would go with one of these, the only downside was only having the built in microphone. I know Th3StuffShow uses the same one in his videos too and I have a few on YTtalkTV so you can see the quality. What is your budget?

It depends on your budget I bought my Canon Elph 100hs for 160 or more I'm not sure but it was around that. I also bought a warranty which covers the camera. So I would recommend getting a warranty. I wouldn't get an expensive camera unless your gonna be using it for some serious video shooting.

The Canon PowerShot series is a good line to look at. Shoots 720p HD and is in the $100 to $200 price range. I have the A2200 model and am quite happy with it. The only two downsides to it are that it doesn't shoot clips longer than ten minutes and you can't zoom in or out while filming. Other than that though, I have no complaints with it. :)

Whats your budget? DSLR's are great I love my 550d (T2i) You get great video and also a decent stills camera. However you are looking at starting around $1000 mark and upwards. If you are just after a video camera, there are so many on the market a huge range of prices below $100o, most if not all will record HD. My advice is pick a price point and stick to it. That's the best way to establish what sort of camera you should be looking at.

The SamsungHMX-W200 Camcorder, I have it, and I believe that it's 720 or 1080P, and you can also shoot underwater with it. And the best part is that there's a button where when you're shooting a video, you can actually pause the video while it's recording, and if you're making a video where you need more than 1 shot, you can press the button, pause it, go to another shot, press the button again, and start recording again which would save you a lot of time (Even though I only do rants, in one shot lol)! Finally it's around 100 dollars, not too bad.

I love the canon t3i there are some side by side comparisons of it up against the Canon 5d mark 2 and it is really difficult to tell which is which

I personal use the Canon Hfr20 and i get 1080p 60 frames a second.. It gets the job done and it didnt break the band either.
