Logitech C920 Help

Ugh.... I got this webcam a few months ago, and I've been wanting to use it and such. Unfortunately my laptop can't handle recording in 1080p, but it can do 720p without a problem. Now, I solved that problem, but now I want to access all of the extra features that come with the downloadable software. I went to the actual app, and there was nothing there. I went to my laptop's camera app, and there weren't any extra options (Zoom, saturation, etc.), and I went to the official website seeking out advice, but nothing is working.

If it's of an extra use, I use a Windows 8(recently installed 8.1) laptop. :/ Can anybody help me out here? I really want to access these extra features that come with the software/app. @thedigblackbick

Did you just plug it into your laptop or did you install the drivers for the C920? It will work plug and play style, but you won't have access to all the controls. You need to install the drivers to get those features working (they're on the logitech website). After that, you can pile on all those extras-just remember that the more stuff you add on, the slower your computer will get.

Ah! Okay, I'll go check that out now! Thank you. :)

It really sucks that more features means a slower computer though. :( I might have to go without them for now. Until we can get a higher power computer at least.

The basic stuff like zooming and directional stuff won't affect your computer much, so go ahead and install the driver, but those add on programs where you have a skin that turns you into a shark are very resource hungry, so they'll slow you down quite a bit.

Oh! That's great to know! I was getting down about that. These basic things are definitely all I want. :)

And lol @ the shark add-on. :roflmao2:

Is this your first time using the C920? You said you just recently upgraded to 8.1
Yeah, I just messed around with it a little bit, but never actually recorded. Then I finally downloaded Windows 8.1 a little bit after I got it.

Doesn't really matter now anyway. I installed the driver and it made my computer super slow. :/
