I just sat through three months of waiting for youtube to finally finish reviewing my channel (which met the 10,000 view requirement) only to open it up today and immediately get slapped in the face.

After all that time of waiting, they changed their requirements so that I now must have 1,000 subs and 4,000 view hours per 12 months. What the hell, youtube. I worked my a** off to meet your dang requirements and waited patiently for you to review my channel for three months only for them to be like "oh, sorry, you have to do these, too, now!"

This is extremely discouraging. Youtube hates small channels and praises the terrible bigshots like Logan Paul. Hell, I used to love youtube but now I just hope it dies.

Before I get any hate comments, this post has nothing to do with how I didnt meet the requirements, the point is that I had ALREADY SUBMITTED MY APPLICATION before they changed the rules. If they're gonna pull that crap, they need to approve anybody who already submitted their apps. It's just wrong to make them have to try again.

Man i understand your pain. This is coming from someone with around 46,000 views but dont meet the new requirements for monetization. Im attempting to start a community to help each other reach the requirements and help gain more followers. If possible check my latest post and tell me what you think about the process.

Unfortunately, your app doesn't matter at all. Even if they had approved you and your channel was monetized, if it didn't meet the new requirements, they would have demonetized your channel again.

Sorry for the crap you have to go through again.

Even if they had a[pproved all the application under the 10 000 views criteria; they would all lose monetization unless they meet the new criteria.

If YT was to apply a lesser criteria where do you think the inventory of adverts would come from to supply all the demand?
