Hey guys, I am a gamer and will be doing a live stream when i reach 400 subs and want it to be the best possible quality for the software I have. I have done live streams before but with varying success from poor picture quality to only being able to hear one sound input (ie, just the game not my voice or vice versa)

I stream to Twitch I use CamTwist, Flash Media Encoder (and run the most recent version of Mac OS X, if that makes a difference) For my gameplay, I use and Hauppague HDPVR as a capture card and Elgato EyeTV to record the gameplay.

Many Thanks for any help

If you're partnered with a network like Fullscreen you can use the "YouTube Live" feature to livestream on YouTube and once you're done it will automatically upload straight to YouTube :)

I have used the YouTube live stream before but I think more people like watching on Twitch. I do like the straight to YouTube upload though :p

If I were you I'd stay away from the YouTube stream. It's awfull. Unfortunately I don't use mac. Otherwise I could've helped you with Xsplit settings.

First of all, to have a good quality stream you need to have a good upload speed. First of all I would check out that.

Quality wise, YouTube is your friend haha. There is many tutorials available for you to use.

I have about 7Mbps upload, I think that is sufficient :p I need a noobs guide to bitrates and input/output sizes :p

I haven't tried using it yet, but I have friends that use obsproject and they say it's very very nice.
