Live Streaming - How it can be done?

I have always wanted to Live Stream some of my game plays, but I don't know how its done and I believe I don't have the right equipment for this.

So can anyone please help me out and simply explain how this works?

I wanna Live Stream as my channel has slowly picked up now and I see some people really enjoy my channel so I wanna try show them whole game plays and so on!

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
 
Live streaming is when you have a live event. If you're planning on streaming on your PC. All you need is a program like Xsplit,Obs.etc... If you plan on streaming through a console. You use the same program,but you need to have a capture card as well. Like the Roxio game cap, Elgato etc... It takes a while to get it all set up, but its not to hard.
