Linking to Videos in Comments

I'm just curious if anyone has done this or seen it done yet... I recently responded to a comment on one of my videos that was shared, hashtageed, etc. on Google + and posted a similar video from someone else's channel. Now I'm not sure how this changes up the SEO on either of our videos or anything as that was my first linked comment, but they must have allowed this option for some beneficial reason.

Has anybody else seen this new feature used in a non-spam manner? I'm thinking this can be another good tool to figure out.
 
I think it's a great idea to a point, but also a really horrible idea. Now, instead of annoying spam comments about "I know you hate when people do this and so do I, but here I am spamming your videos COME TO MY CHANNEL," we're gonna be seeing random links to videos by people who think spamming others' videos will get them views.

However, there have been many times when I wanted to post a link to something relevant to a video and couldn't, so it'll be nice to be able to do that now. :)
 
I've still not seen this, to be honest I think it is probably going to be better than the video responses, which no one ever watched. Hopefully the spam comments will be as transparent as they always were so can be avoided.
 
I tested it to make sure it worked but that was about it. However I think it will come in handy for video contests and whatnot. Posting the link might help with video SEO by generating backlinks moreso than the old video response technique.
