Licensing fee for 3rd party use

I've been asked if would allow a marketing company to use some of my footage for a client campaign. The subject of a licensing fee came up and I'm at a total loss. I've no idea what a standard fee might be for 15 seconds of video. Can anyone here suggest a reference for this?

It's going to be difficult for you to track down relevant data. These numbers are usually closed behind NDAs.

That said, there are a few different ways of approaching it. One time fee. CPM based ($ per thousand views). % of overall revenue of the presentation.

Or, you could go the route of credit, meaning they have to link to your channel.

Ultimately, you do need to remember one thing above all else. They approached you. Ask what they're offering. Don't EVER make the first offer unless you already know what you're worth.
