Letting my character Jeremy be heard?

AYRENvids

I need to stop caring too much.
Here's the deal. Some of you might know that I recently came up with a youtube character for myself. He's a guy and his name is Jeremy.
My first video as him was the chatroulette video you should see in my signature. I didn't talk there, I just fooled this one other guy. So I can pretty much be sure people can NOT tell that I'm a female by the appearence of Jeremy.
But at the moment I'm having one little problem. Soon enough I will want Jeremy to start communicating with people for real. Actually talking. Since I'm a female, I have a bit of a problem to make my voice sound manly. Do you guys have any tips for me in that area?
Keep in mind that I will want to make it sound real, convincing, not forced. So that people wouldn't be able to suspect a thing at all.
Now I know that's going to be very hard, but that is exactly why I chose to create a male character in the end. I want that challenge. I like that it's physically challenging for me to look, act and talk like a dude.

PS: I know I could always go the way of creating a male voice with a program. But that's not what I want. I don't want it to be "fake", you know. I want to put my skill of acting into a real challenge now. It would be amazing if I could pull this off well. I know I'm capable of it if I only practise, but do you have any tips for me?

listen to the tone of my voice. On the phone and stuff sometimes people aren't sure if I'm a woman just because my register is at a higher tone, but you can tell i'm a man by the WAY I talk. There is a kind of... apathy in a male's voice, a kind of "non chalantness" I'd say worry less about altering your voice, and more about getting that "guy attitude" When you're talking to people, remember you're a "bro". Remember that if it gets to emotional or girlie "this is gay" and remember that you're gonna be slightly distant, you're not as intuitive as jeremy as you would be as you. men don't notice things, they're off in their world. Be slightly distant, be slightly apathetic, be less emotional, and be a "bro" you know?

im bad in the way if i hanging around with people that speak a certain way or have a accent i adapt pretty fast with out noticing it ``drives my east indian friends nuts... lol`` its cool to see your challenging your self. i tryed to watch your video in your siggi but it says you removed it

Thanks for your advice, really appreciate it :D I will practise doing as you say.
By the way, have you seen my "making myself look like a man" thread? Some people said I looked sorta like you haha. Check it :D[DOUBLEPOST=1353532252,1353532134][/DOUBLEPOST]
