So i've been vlogging for awhile now(a short while actually) and i wanted to know from other people that vlog as well what works for you? and what are some good tips for vlogging? Sometimes I use a script when i vlog that way i have a reference when im talking to the camera but i know most people actually dont use one like one of my friends he never uses a script and his videos are always pretty good. just wanted to know your thoughts on this and some tips i could use? :D

Moving this to Strategies and Techniques Advice section of the forum. Personally, I like vlogs that are not too long. Speak clear, and have a point to what you're saying. Be interesting, but be yourself. Try not to have too many 'uuumms and ahs' in there. I know a lot of people like when you go out places and do things. That doesn't really matter to me, the location though.

I like to go off a loose script so I don't waffle on and get off topic. My advice would be that there's nothing wrong with doing a lot of takes and a lot of editing with a vlog. I know people who aren't on board with multiple takes and who aren't scrupulous with their editing 'cause they think it's not natural and ruins the integrity of the vlog. For me I don't mind cutting out the parts where I 'umm' and 'err' because it makes for a tighter video. I find it hard to watch a video that drags because the vlogger has gone off topic/off on a tangent or has gotten muddled up with his/her words so I try to keep my videos to the point and quite curt.

Some people need scripts, some don't. It's different for everyone, really. I don't like having a script, but I have some points I put down on my phone so I know what I should say, lol. If you do script, try keeping it genuine as well because if your viewers can tell your totally scripting it, then that's not a good thing...
