Kid Channels BANNED from Famebit?

Any other kid channels banned from Famebit? Weird because Youtube tells us to use this new sponsorship platform. And they have toy advertisers looking for channels in the childrens category. I applied to some over the weekend. Today my account was banned. Their response is below. The response would kind of make sense but then I remembered Youtube owns Famebit and Youtube supports channels for children’s entertainment and education and the kids youtube app. Just overall weird experience.

Thank you for reaching out . Unfortunately, due to policy, we will be unable to permit your account on our platform. To be in compliance with FTC’s COPPA law, FameBit cannot support channels of children under the age of 13 or host content that is in any way directed towards children under the age of 13. We apologize that your account has been removed from FameBit. There is no way around this regulation, seeing as it is FTC policy that extends pass FameBit’s policies. We highly suggest finding an alternative platform to use for sponsorships.

I deleted my account years ago. I just signed back up and nothing has changed. I didn't see anything of interest or that makes sense for my content.

Yeah it's not really great for toy category. I made one or two sponsored videos from it. My best bet has been contacting pr firms or toy companies directly. Mattel is my white whale because I buy so many of their toys. Have yet to hear back from them. Have you had success with any other sponsorship type sites?

For the amount they want to pay, it's not worth my time.

I just got a message on YouTube about them banning channels with under age kids in it because of child labor laws and stuff like that I didn’t pay to much attention to it because that had nothing to do with my channel, but you should check your dashboard to see if you have that message and since famebit is apart of YouTube it makes since because they probably don’t want kids sponsoring them because of the labor law.

That’s very interesting. No i didnt receive that message. My sons favorite channel right now is ethangamertv. Some kid who plays video games, over million subscribers. Youtube is probably being subjective with where they are applying that rule.
