So, when I came into YouTube all I thought it was was people uploading videos to a huge social site, but, it's much more. I hear all this stuff about licensing and monetization and partnership. I never really understood any of these. Could someone give me a good understanding of what these are?

Monetizing and partnering with a network are the money side of YouTube where you monetize videos (when you have all the rights to do so ) to make money by having YouTube or a network place ad's on your videos all of that stuff can vary though but ya pretty much in general the money side and licensing is owning the rights to your videos etc

Yup through youtubes google adsense through a network is through whatever network your with
