Just a wonder...

Hi guys hope your all well i have a question do you need permission to make a video of football skills and goals and could i get ads for it? I want to get clips of great players and make a good video showcasing the skills and goals but i want to make some money from it even if its only a small amount of money.

Are you planning to film league professionals?

As if you are, you are going to need not only the permission of the league, but model and publicity releases from each player filmed for your video to be "legal". Recording plays off your TV would qualify as severe copyright infringement, and get you either Content ID'd in which case any monies made by that video would go to the league rather than you; or you might get a strike against your channel if the league whose material you took was in a bad mood. In that case all of your videos might cease making money as your account would go into bad standing.

As UKHypnotist stated, those clips will likely triggered ContentID and instantly flagged for 3rd party. Unless they're in a bad mood, the videos will stay up, but any and all ad revenue will go to the copyright holders, not you.

Or, if they choose not to go that route, they'll simply flag your video as copyright infringement, have the video pulled, and you'll receive a strike. After 3 strikes, they close any channels connected to you and forbid you from ever starting another one.

Either they have permission (unlikely), have yet to be discovered (unlikely on newer videos, more likely on older ones with poor quality), or have been marked as 3rd party and earn no money for their channel (most likely).
