Issues with Windows Live Movie Maker

Everything seems to be going fine while I'm editing the video except for a few random crashes.... nothing out of the ordinary. So I render the video in hd, but after it's done rendering and I watch it, now it's all glitchy and whatnot. I have tried rendering it normal, not in hd, but I am still having these glitches in my finished product.

Have any of you had this problem before? Should I just buy a new editing program?

~Thanks~

Windows Movie Maker is a decent program to use when you're first trying to get an idea of how to edit video, but I would encourage anyone, and everyone, to drop it as soon as they can "afford" another program.

That being said, I've had issues with Sony Vegas before. In most cases, a computer restart fixed any and all glitchy issues. In some cases, however, there's nothing else you can do but start over.

It took me at least 5 attempts to edit a video. I was so p****d and try not to use movie maker. I decided to get sony vegas pro. Haha.

But it's not just that video that is having issues. It's all of my videos that are having issues.....

So would you suggest Sony Vegas?

I'm using Cyberlink Powerdirector 11 Director's Suite right now, I think that's going to be the one I buy. If you are a student you get like a %70 discount. I like it because it's pretty easy to use, cheap, and has extra apps to edit pics, color, and sounds with that can all be combined into the video editing program.

I don't think windows live is very good at all. Try upgrading, almost anything is better than that one.

Using Windows Movie Maker to edit is like trying to edit using a rock...not even a smooth rock, a jacked up one. Anyways, like others said I suggest upgrading as soon as possible. We use Premiere Pro and it is fantastic! :)

Best of luck to you!
