Is watching a fat guy lose weight interesting to a general audience?

Using my success to help others achieve theirs!
Hi everyone,

My channel is dedicated to self-improvement....as such I'm covering a variety of topics under that umbrella. However, to start off I decided to do a 16 week 50 pound Weight Loss Challenge (cuz I'm fat....lol).

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on the initial video...and the concept. Is posting once a week on the topic enough (I will do 1 or 2 other non-related vids as well). While I've got great feedback on it, it's all from people who generally know me (ie. facebook, instagram...etc). I would love to hear your thoughts on a completely unbiased basis.

Thanks.

I've seen a few videos of obese people who became skinny, and even ripped, promoted on facebook and youtube. Pretty sure there's a huge audience for that. It all depends on how you present the videos, and the results you get in the end. I wouldn't worry too much about results if you're working hard at the gym. Because results come in fast, and this gets us in an extremely addictive self improvement cycle.

I saw parts of the video. There is an audience for it as long as you keep it interesting and even better if you reach your goals and do a before and after type body transformation, something I've done on my channel. At the very least, you'll be healthier. good luck.

If you're going to do that I'd recommend you change it up from all the other progressive weight loss videos. Tell your story on WHY you want to lose the weight. Other than just to be slimmer. People will be more invested in you and your videos if they can connect with you or your story on a personal level.
