Is this video idea legit?

All right for sometime now I have been thinking :unsure2: whther it is allowed on youtube to make a video in which you describe the story of book or game. Some of them have back ground story which many people don't know and might wonder about it. For example many know about The Lord of the Rings but few have read :bookworm2: additional notes that accompany it. So my question is, can I make a video in which I explain all this stuff and how they fit in?

It's allowed I assume, I've seen a lot of people doing it also for various types of things such as video game lore and books that have been turned into films

So maybe it would be a better idea to do lore videos rather then storytelling of books and movies. For example like most people who search LOTR know the story, but do they know some other part of the story only told vaguely. Kind of like Game Theory but with a bit more sustenance. For example the game dark souls has a big channel by a guy named VaatiVidya who does lore videos, everybody knows the story of Dark Souls but he tells the gritty stories of the NPC's based on conversations you hear throughout the game and their position in the world and whatnot.

Yeah^ another guy to look at for possible insparation is Nobbel87, he's huge in the WoW community for posting lore videos, he's currently sitting pretty at 180k subs from doing WoW lore videos

As long as you're not reciting word-for-word someone else's commentary, you're allowed to review and summarize other works.

Ok I think that is good enough. Yes I meant lore videos I was just stuck at words :P . I will look up similar videos to get an idea of how it is done. Since it is legit I wil do it after all. Thank a lot guys!
