People tell me my logo looks similar to this, well, only one person has. But, this logo did inspire mine, as seen in my profile picture. It's from Batman-News.com, would you consider this plagiarism, or anything i could get in trouble for?

Any time you use a logo that looks like someones you could get in trouble. DC would be the one to come after you though. But if they leave batman-news alone they will probably leave you alone as well. Now, start selling merch with the logo and things might change however!

As for Plagiarism ehhh if you pass off that idea as your own then yes basically.

I mean so are the others unless they have gotten permission from DC.

but in most cases companies really don't care as long as it's not making you money with their products and or defaming their IPs
 
I personally would be concerned about getting a copyright infringement slap with that logo. Even if it didn't happen I would be really concerned with people mixing my logo up with the other guy's. You really need a logo to put yourself out there and separate your brand from others.
 
Hi, I've moved this to the Copyright and Legal Discussion forum. ^^

The images are very similar. If the original logo was not in the creative commons with a license that allowed for modifications and commercial use, then I would consider it plagiarism.
