Is this intro legal?

I'm not trying to promote, I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong.

Other gamers use tons of video game sound clips unrelated to the game they are playing, and they seem fine.

I use the Zelda 'item get' sound at the end of my short intro... Is this ok?

if you composed all of the other music i would say its fine but it looks like some of the other stuff isnt youra which may be a problem. it really shoukdnt be though unless you get millions of hits or something. just my opinion tho that you need to work on that more. with it how it is you arent gonna get views. just my opinion.

I'm not totally sure what you mean?

I composed all the other music in the bit, the only sound bite that wasn't mine was the 'item get' at the very end!

And I know it could use some work, but it's what I've got for now. When I become more profecient with the software I'm using I will be able to make my intro and video's more appealing!
 
I think it should be okay. All the copyright is very confusing though. I have a cover with 800 views and found out today that it's actually illegal :eek:

Exactly, I hate the confusing copyright laws. Especially with video games, which the laws seem to sort of 'bend' sometimes.

As with music, it's not illegal to do the cover, it's only illegal to try to monetize it!
 
Thank you :) yes it is all cry confusing. Once you get to become a ill partner either through youtube or a networks it is a lot easier for both gamers and musicians as some networks have rights to post and monetize certain videos with copyrighted content so that is my goal!
