Is this a good time to join MCN? Adsense vs MCN - 2018

My partnership is finally under review. So I thought to ask here before I go else where.
Anyway, I was partnered with MCN before, and support was amazing, like I always got answer in like 10-15 minutes. It was pretty cool, and I just gave 10% of my earnings, but still I got support and paypal money. And then, my friend kinda told me that Adsense did have higher CPM, so I went with Adsense after some time. And support was pretty much terrible. No support at all.
The thing is ... there is really one network I would love to join. But I see topics like; don't join MCNs, they won't pay you. And I'm pretty sure I don't wanna go with Adsense again ... so ... what are your thoughts on MCNs with Adsense in 2018?
Tnx.

Edit:

Also, when I see stuff like banned Adsense, 'couse someone did send trolls to click on ads. That makes me pretty much sick. I think descent network will do something about it. So again ... your thoughts?

Just as many small YouTubers have seen turbulent times recently with new caps for partnerships, so has the MCN's (likely).
I would probably wait a few months for things to settle/quiet down a bit more - and let MCN's adjust to new circumstances. In this time you could probably expect more feedback and comments on a variety of MCN's on YTTALK as well.

Depending on what your channel is about:
What can a MCN offer you, that you can't deal with on your own?

If they don't give you added value, while taking a cut of your add revenue, do you really want to be tied up to a contract?

MCNs will give you at least some kind of protection. And you can actually talk to someone in terms of help. Adsense will never give you that. ;)
I also prefer paypal money transfer. I'm tired of waiting checkue for 1 month to arrive on home adress.
I'm gaming channel btw.

Even if your goal is to join a network, you must become a direct YouTube partner before doing so. This means connecting to Adsense and undergoing the YPP channel Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Copyright/Commercial Use regulations Compliance review; then being accepted into the YPP once more if you were previously with a network.

As you are currently under review, all you can do is sit tight and wait for the result; remembering as you wait, that being reviewed doesn't necessarily mean you will be accepted as a YouTube Partner.

If you are accepted, wait for all the fallout from networks dissolving because YouTube kicked out the majority of their members, or networks put out of business for having a membership the majority of whose content violated either copyright, YouTube Terms of Service, or YouTube Community Guidelines. Then look over the remaining networks, and select your best option.

I was with a major network for four years (Maker Studios); and it was my personal experience that one received no protection from anything with a network. Copyright disputes had to be filed directly with YouTube; with no network intervention even if directly requested.

Trolls and haters did their thing as usual; all I could do was block them. I produce a content type which is rarely subject to false flagging; but false Content ID claims were frequent at certain times of the year.

If having your YouTube revenue "double-dipped" (YouTube takes its cut even with a network; then the network takes its own cut of the revenue), just so you can get PayPal payments is really what you want, then I and one other on this thread have laid out the clear path for you.

Frankly, I'd rather get everything I have coming once YouTube takes its share!

Sounds like you have had a good time with a MCN. If you feel the 10% you payout as value for money then continue as you are.
To my knowledge CPM will remain the same either way.
Being paid into Paypal could be a benefit for those that wish to hide the revenue from your local tax office.

Personally I have always used Adsense as I wish to keep 100% revenue and have never had any issues / delayed payments etc over the last 5 years.
Adsense pays into my business account which I pay corporation tax on then personal tax on payouts/dividends.

Why not use direct wire transfer. Only 2-3 days you will get the payment

I'm curious to know what sort of support you need that you cannot get directly from YouTube? As @UKHypnotist said:

I was with a MCN (BBTV) for a while and I must admit I did like the convenience of PayPal payments since I am a bit of a technophobe when it comes to figuring things like adsense out. They always paid on time, punctually gave me a detailed breakdown of my payment, and were extremely courteous and professional when I terminated my contract. Having said that, I just couldn't figure out what they were actually DOING to deserve taking a chunk (albeit small) of my revenue.
10% may seem like a small amount to give away when your channel is small and you only lose a few dollars a month, but if and when your channel grows and the revenue reaches four figures you may have a different view on the "convenience" of being tied in to a contract with a MCN.

I think MCN's are in a tight spot atm, basically in February 2018 I was still with Freedom! at the time and honestly I hated how they kept taking 40% of my money every month and heard really good things about Curse (Union For Gamers) and they only took 10% which is a HUGE difference in paycheck when you think about it. So I tried applying for Curse and then they accepted me but there was one problem, I haven't left my previous network yet so I said alright let me leave Freedom! first and then I manually unlinked but had to wait 30 days (which is what screwed me over ENTIRELY, read more and you'll see what i mean). Anyways so I'm like that's fine I'll wait out the 30 days I suppose (they didn't want to unlink right away because they probably wanted to profit off me for as long as possible). Now fast forward to 30 days, its March 23rd 2018 and I'm finally 100% unlinked from Freedom! (YAAAAY........) but there's a new problem because I was ready to apply for Curse right after that and guess what happened lol.

So you can see what I mean, nobody can join their network atm and you still can't as of today May 13th 2018, I've even sent emails trying to find out why and this is what they said:

"Greetings Xboxgamer969, Thank you for contacting Union for Gamers. Unfortunately YouTube has temporarily disabled or limited the amount of channels we are able to let join at this time. We are hoping to seek a resolution as we hope to open up applications as soon as possible, however we do not have an estimate at this time. We do not know if it will be a year or a week. We can only suggest checking regularly at [CURSE WEBSITE LINK] to see when we open up applications again. Thank you"

So its pretty much a Youtube issue atm and it royally sucks to be honestly clear as I'm left with no pay for the forseable future without any ETA as to when I can join all because Youtube decided to change their guidelines so you can imagine this makes me furious as I have things that are auto renewing through paypal and that paypal isn't getting any new income anymore so idk how I'm going to pay for those things. Also you might be wondering why I don't just use Adsense instead, well to answer you I don't like how they pay you, they only pay you until you have 100$ minimum on hold, I also have to verify the address for some reason which means i need some youtube mail coming at my door which I recently moved to a different Province in Canada so that's not happening and on top of that Adsense doesn't pay through paypal which is honestly the dumbest thing ever cause if MCN's can do it then why can't Adsense do it? So my solution to this is to obviously join a network and let them organise how my paychecks come in because I'm not good with banking to be honestly clear lol, paypal is super easy to use which is why I prefer that. Anyways so that is my current situation atm, I also don't want to join a different network because not many networks offer 90/10 split like Curse does.

@xboxgamer969 I'm sorry to have to tell you this; but if you read my prior posts on this thread, you will see that even when Curse opens up again, if you aren't already a direct Adsense connected YouTube Partner with a compliance reviewed and accepted channel, they will reject you; and tell you to get a direct YouTube partnership, then apply again when you have it.

You have to be a direct YouTube Partner before you can join a network now; and you cannot join the YouTube Partner Program without an active Adsense account.
