Hello everyone, this is Matt here to tell you why Gods of Odds are on Patreon and how your support can help us, I will also go into a little bit about what you get for becoming one of our patrons. Before I start I just want to say that do not feel like you must donate if you cannot afford to, it is completely optional.

There are a few reasons why we are on Patreon so I will explain them to you now. The first reason is that we want to make YouTube a full time job and the ad revenue on YouTube doesn’t pay well enough for us to do that, so we’re hoping that we can do it through Patreon. If we get enough support to make YouTube our full time job then we would of course start uploading more videos, and also we would like to start some other lore series that we have been thinking about that we think you’ll all enjoy.

I’m going to completely honest, another reason is that I actually have a medical problem to do with my stomach, which stops me from working a full time job due to the pain caused by it, so I’m of course hoping that YouTube will work out for us so that I can work from home on my own time without having to worry.

Of course becoming one of our patrons would help us to buy better equipment and any recording software that we need, which would help me us make more videos and better quality videos for all of you to watch.
We do really enjoy doing YouTube and making videos for all of you to watch, but we do put a lot of our time into making videos for YouTube so if we are going to continue like we want to then we are going to need to make YouTube our full time job but of course we still have to pay for things.

By becoming one of our patrons, you could get access to different rewards depending on how much you are able to donate. One reward is simply being able to talk to us on Patreon and then other rewards include getting some videos early and then the next reward is a sort of backstage pass where you will get access to all of our past, present and future scripts and audio files for our lore videos.

Any donation helps whether it is small or big, if you can only afford to donate one dollar a month then that is fine as every little bit that we get helps us to continue doing what we enjoy. I would leave it in, personally, because it tells something about your actual life. If you have any doubts at all, though, you can take it out!

Speak more in terms of the other person's interests. Dale Carnegie - How to Win Friends & Influence People. What will the subscriber receive? They don't care about you. Not to be rude or anything, but most of them at least don't. It's very hard to make people part with their money compared to them just viewing your stuff and engaging and maybe even sharing. You've mentioned a few times, but I'd make sure the Patreon gives a bit more away and talk about the subscribers before you talk about your personal reasons. Last thing you should say is hey, I'd like to turn this into a full time job as it would help with my pains and it'd be a dream. Before all that, sell them on the vision of why they should help you.
