My channel is dead.
I used to comment spam and annoy the s**t out of everyone, and if I affected you I'm so sorry I see how annoying it is now. Basically it was extremely effective in getting thousands of subscribers per month, but most were kinda useless. It also got my videos tons of views but anyways, I now see the extremely negative effect it's had now that I've stopped for over two months.
Most of my subscribers are dead (not literally LOL) and I only get about 2k views per video now (I have like 16.7k subs). If you check my channel idk what's going on with my latest video since AdSense is saying I got 1000+ views yesterday (compared to my daily average of 100) and it just won't update I guess. But once again that's off topic. But yea, due to the fact that I got literally all of my subs from spamming people in one way or another, most have ignored my videos. Either that or when I upload a video over 150 unsubscribe.
Basically this is extremely demotivating because like all I do is lose subscribers every day and a ton when I upload which discourages me from uploading. Yet another reason why my channel is dead is because I had extremely inconsistent uploads, sometimes I would post within a week of each video, other times I would upload 3 months later.
The comment spamming and inconsistent uploads led to a high subscriber count with low viewer count. It's really bad and every time I upload I consider quitting, even though deep down I know I never want to quit.
Onto the question. As you can tell my channel is a complete disaster and nothing can really fix that. I'm considering starting fresh on a new channel, with a username I actually like and makes sense (I despise my current username) and uploading consistently a mix of new videos and past videos that I liked a lot and feel like they deserve to go on my channel again. I would have only my active subs there so while it would be small, it would be very active. It's seems like an excellent idea to me and a way to motivate me to do well and not let the new channel become a mess like my old one. What is your opinion?

I want to start fresh on a new channel with all my active subs, a username I actually like, and a mix of new and old videos. Opinions?
