Is This A Good Camera?

I found a camera (Canon Powershoot SX160 IS 16) on sale for $80, and I'm thinking of maybe buying it to try and start vlogging! I am a little worried that it only records in 720p but I'll be just starting out and may or may not become long term, so I don't think it matters this much.
And also whats a good editing software for windows thats pretty easy to use? Sony Vegas's way of doing PiP is weird.
 
I bet the quality of the video would surprise you. Try it out. With any camera though you'll need to put yourself in a bright room for the best quality

I bet I would be, I don't think it would be terriable. Would you think just natural lighting and a typical overheard room light work? Western Washington though, were not known for our sun. But I'll try it out tomorrow.
I was just thinking a camera would be better, while smartphones are capable their still just phones. And it seems weird to be talking to the back of my phone instead of in front of a camera, good thing is that my phone has awesome mics / random noice cancelation though.
 
the camera seems good, suprisingly enough...the camera I have currently is actually made for video and has good video quality *very very good* but terrible audio...with no fix, so watch those little catches!
