Is There Any Way To Stop A Channel Trailer Autoplaying?

I didn't realise when i made my trailer that it still autoplays on your channel, I understand it's to attract new people to your channel, but I am worried that people who aren't subscribed to me will immediately click off my channel to stop it playing or that it will massively affect my audience retention

Is there anyway to give people who aren't subscribed the option to play it rather then it play automatically? and be honest does a channel trailer make you not want to subscribe or more likely to subscribe?

I did mine because i wanted to explain my channel a little bit more, and hopefully attract more subscribers, but now i'm worried it will turn them away because of the autoplay feature

I personally hate auto-playing trailers, and will click away immediately.

A few weeks ago, I made a 45 sec auto-playing trailer.

I hope that people don't click away. :/

Honestly I despise the auto play feature. I have had to click away since there was that big, “Surprise! Your volume is on and this is my channel!!” coming from my laptop while I try to hide my introverted self. Sadly I have no idea how to turn it off...pretty sure there isn’t anyway considering I’ve never seen that on a channel before

:( i did a trailer as i presumed the autoplay had been turned off by youtube, that sucks, it was meant to help me gain subs not lose them!

Just had a look at your channel...dont worry about it I say. You advice to you is to stop worrying about subs, and start worrying about engagement with the subs you already have. To have 1,300 subs but only be getting maybe 100 views per viedo means a heck of a lot of your subs aren't even watching your videos. Figure out why that is and then the subs will just come. Focusing on sub count is a dead end road. But its currently wide enough for you to swing a U turn before its too late.
